Even as the world awaits the launch of the Xiaomi Mi5, a new Xiaomi phone alleged to be the Redmi 3 has been spotted online. The alleged Redmi 3 has been spotted doing the rounds on Chinese certification website Tenaa . Moreover the listing goes on to leak hardware specifics of the purported Redmi 3 along with an image that shows off the phone in all its glory.The Xiaomi Redmi 3 – as per the spotted image – is seen having a full-metal unibody design which is in sharp contrast to the original Redmi 2, its predecessor. The Redmi 2 – and Redmi 2 Prime – were completely plastic phones. The Redmi 3 – with the model number Mi 2015811 – is tipped to come with a 5-inch HD screen and a 1.5GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card.The alleged Redmi 3 will sport a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The 4G LTE capable phone will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The Redmi 2 Prime comes with a 4.7-inch HD display and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable by up to 32GB via microsSD card. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. The phone is backed by a 2,200 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
